A winter's day on Cape Cod. A stroll up to Wellfleet with David and his camera. We took our three Afghans ... Luke's Afghan family lived in Eastham and often joined us for a walk, making it a group of 6 of these spectacular dogs — quite a sight! The wind was fierce, whipping Lukes's long coat. David took a wonderful shot as the sun backlit the dog's flying fur, and that became the inspiration for the painting.
