MARSHALL POINT LIGHT: Disk approaching
Acrylic on canvas board
15" x 30"

The Port Clyde area offers classic Maine scenery, and Marshall Point is one of my favorite haunts. It’s never the same, always changing its moods and colors. I went out one sunny day to get some pictures, but when I saw them on my computer, one stood out — the last one I took. The diagonal composition was striking. Dusk was fast darkening the sky, and it the sea was a muted blue. Golden reeds in the foreground were the only bright note.
