Rainy Day in Rockland

When scanning the pages of art magazines, I am always so impressed with the exciting city scenes by various artists, especially when they depict a rainy day. I decided to try one, and went down to Rockland to shoot photos on a misty afternoon. The painting uses elements from those photos for a strong diagonal composition and the rainbow of colors throughout the picture. I love the shapes in the circular reflections in the foreground! |
