A mixed-media interpretation drawn from a high-contrast black-and-white photo. Brilliant acrylic colors were splashed on heavy watercolor paper as a backdrop for rendering the elegant steeplechase crowd. The figures were painted in watercolor and white casein. Each of the characters has a connection to the others, but they are all a bit mysterious. It's amusing to contemplate the possible script in this drama. |
