Last summer, I went on a photoshoot for Jasret & Cohn for one of their listings in Cushing. Beautiful property right on the cove, set among towering pines. Such a friendly house — a great old barn with a greenhouse running down the side. A hand-hewn woodshed with the sun pouring through its open sides. An artist’s studio with multiple skylights. And atop the garage roof was a whimsical whale weathervane dazzling in the afternoon sun. When I printed the photo, I knew I had a great subject for a painting! The pine branches were painted with brushes I made out of real pine needles. |
